Only 1 hour (50 km) from the state border you find the Hill Hochswab. You can take a walk in the village of Hochswab, travel to the 1500-1600 m high plateau above the townlet by car or a chairlift. From this point you can continue your journey even higher to the top (1810m) with another chairlift. Here you find a ski centre of Steiermarkt.
In the valley to north we reach Semmering-Kurort. Underway you should have a rest in the amasing nature and visit the hunting seat of Franz-Joseph or in a small town the cistercian abbey.
Satellite station: They are ca. 2,5 hours long journey far from the guesthouse. The trip runs through an amasing and narrow valley with 2 lakes and traditional austrian landscape.
The 4 awesome (caliber 32 m) and more smaller satellites you can visit free of charge. There is a visitor centre too, where you can watch a short film about the work and the history of the station.
